Matthew Charof is an award winning filmmaker from Boston, Ma. who graduated from SUNY Purchase in 2010. He is known for Pale (2015) which won best short film at the London Film Awards, Firefly which received a Best Actress nod at the Hamilton Film Festival (2016) and The Times (2017) which was an IFP Screen forward Lab recipient and an IFP No Borders feature screenplay.
This movie is my response to my experience with mental illness. After my father, who was diagnosed bipolar schizophrenic, died in 2008, I was deeply saddened and thrown into a new world without a father, so I turned to my greatest expression: filmmaking.
I hope this movie allows you face what is inside you in order to have better relationships with yourself and those around you!
